Aunt Lillian is a fictional picture book intended for readers k-5.
Synopsis
Suzie has just found out on the car ride home that Aunt Lillian has come for a visit and will be sharing her room throughout her stay. Having never met her aunt, Suzie sits in the back seat and conjures up character sketches of how her aunt may disrupt her sacred bedroom. Illustrations of the wacky scenarios fill the pages, as her imagination becomes more and more bizarre. Upon arriving to the house, Suzie dashes towards her room in a desperate attempt to stop the invasion. What she finds tops her wildest dreams.
Bio
Anne Legge was born and raised in Baltimore, Maryland, where she was enrolled in private art lessons at a young age. She attended Pacific University in Forest Grove, Oregon, majoring in fine art, and it is there that her incorporation of nature and art was enhanced. She graduated with a Bachelor of Art.
In 1997, Anne moved to Los Angles to pursue work in the animation industry. Her first professional job was working on the Nickelodeon cartoon, Wild Thornberry’s. After two seasons, she left to join the staff of the Emmy award winning, cartoon, Futurama. A year later, Anne went to work on the prime time cartoon, The Simpsons, where she is now in her eighth season.
Her animation background inspired interest in creating stories for children. She has taken numerous classes in the illustration and publishing of children’s books, and subsequently, has developed captivating humorous stories and novel illustrations for children.
I am a mom of twins. I work as an artist in T.V. animation, as well as write and illustrate children's books. I have published the children's cookbook, "Veggie Friends and Fruits Too!"
